Connecting Bohuliby to the Pepř Mine

The Bohuliby Mine is a neighbouring mining area connected to the Pepř Mine at the first level of the Pepř Mine, which corresponds to the second level of the Bohuliby Mine. At present, only the first level of the Bohuliby Mine, which is also the main adit level, is open to visitors. The first and second levels are connected by the New Shaft, featuring an 85 metre ladderway.

No mining equipment has been restored in this section, and we do not plan to install any. Because of the different geological conditions, visitors can see large and impressive mining chambers, including a unique excavation dating back to the reign of Charles IV. We also plan to use one of the chambers on the Příčná Vein as a venue for cultural and social events.

We occasionally offer private tours for physically fit visitors by prior arrangement. The tour begins at the Bohuliby Mine, where visitors explore the first level before climbing ladders to the second level. From there, the mine train takes the group to the Pepř Mine, where the tour continues along the standard visitor route and ends at the Václav Adit near the Sázava River. A light refreshment can also be included as part of the experience. Because of its length and complexity, this special tour is designed for groups of up to 15 people and is offered at a higher price than our standard tours.
